Dear staff,

It has come to our knowledge that some of the staff are engaging in online activities and games (eg. online messengers such as Google Talk, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook etc) during office hours to the extent of neglecting their work, resulting in reduced efficiency and productivity as well as poor customer service. This irresponsible act also causes friction and unhappiness amongst colleagues who find themselves having to undertake additional workload to help their irresponsible colleagues clear their unfinished work.

The Management takes a serious view on this blatant act of disregard for work ethics. We hope that staff understand that they have a moral responsibility to the company to perform the tasks that they have been entrusted with to the best of their ability. No staff is to engage in non-work related activities during working hours. Any staff caught to engage in such activities during working hours will be severely dealt with, of which disciplinary actions include immediate termination, as the Company deems appropriate.

All Heads of Department are also reminded to supervise their staff more closely at work.
